The Appearance

The kakapo is a flightless, large parrot. It has green and dark brown feathers all over its body. This helps the Kakapo camouflage in the forest, protecting it from predators. They have grey feet and a grey beak. The kakapo is a nocturnal bird which means they sleep during the day, and they hunt at night. The kakapo is one of the heaviest parrots in the world. It weighs 2-4 kgs.

Predators

They are endangered and there are only 154 left in New Zealand. The kakapo is almost extinct. Its predators are cats, stoats, dogs and rats. The rats eat the Kakapo’s eggs. The kakapos were put onto an island with no predators. This keeps them safe and allows them to breed, so we can have more kakapo.

It is important to protect the Kakapo for future generations to see.

rangatahi festival

Yesterday we had a rangatahi festival i liked    but have you  been in a rangatahi festival?  .   you rose hill intimate   and there was 17 school

And over 1000 school.  and we had some money .and we can bue some food

To eat .and my mum came to the rangatahi. then my mum  buy me a sosig to eat and then my mum gave me some money then she went

cOnce upon a time  those big rats was flying until they heard a sound then they was looking for the sound.

That they can hear then they found the the little boy that

Was making the sound then those mean rats flew to the .little Boy. Then hit him on the head  then the rats said to the Little boy “give me a turn!” Asked the rat  then the rat.

Tried to use the whistle then the ugly rat chucked the whistle. Then the little boy tried to go away from the ugly rat. Then the little boy heart was beating bom bom bom

Because those ugly fat was bullying the little boy .

Then those ugly rat flayed away so then  the little boy

.the girl took the whistle . Then the boy ran back

home were the dark forest with dark trees around

And  some foggy forest and he put some fake wings on him then he flyed with the fake wing . then it fal off

His back .then the ugly rat came back then looked through

In the eye .then the girl came to help him then she use the

Whistle then the ugly rat followed the girl then the boy

Was finding her .then he put the necklace around her neck

the n the girl used her wing and the boy then they flyed

Away from the ugly rat.
